For authentication ,in origination process , certain covert image can be embedded into the hologram.

A cheap and portable laser pointer is used to reveal this covert feature. When point the light beam on the certain area,we can get  a special diffractive image on the paper on the reflection way of the laser beam.

Laser covert image is now widely used on many brand protection and security documents.
